Timothy Sobo, L.Ac.
Tim grew up on the Jersey Shore. After graduating from Toms River High School North, he attended Penn State where he graduated with three bachelors degrees. While in college he coached and taught the Penn State Tae Kwon Do Club and Team. It was in college that he discovered the healing potential for acupuncture, after he tore his meniscus in his right knee in three places.
After college, he enrolled in New England School of Acupuncture in Newton Massachusetts, where he graduated with his Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MAOM). He has been rewarded Diplomat status from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM). He strives to provide an evidence-based, comprehensive, and integrative approach to healthcare using the scientific understanding of the Oriental Medicine to improve the lives of people affected by disease He is currently licensed to practice acupuncture in New Jersey as well as Massachusetts.
Tim also holds certification as a personal trainer and a corrective exercise specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Tim is currently a 2nd Degree Black Belt in Ryukyu Kempo from Dillman Karate International and a Master Instructor of Qigong from Banyan Tree Martial Arts and Qigong.
